Yvette created the Philadelphia Health Services, Inc non-profit organization in 2015. PHS, Inc. is a nonprofit agency here to help people to learn to help themselves. As we are teaching, we are strengthening, building and recreating families, individuals and communities
through outreach and direct services.
Our flagship program is the Akoma Rites of Passage Program. Akoma is dedicated to providing mentorship, social services and educational support to young, disadvantaged, girls and boys from low income neighborhoods in the Philadelphia area, and the children of incarcerated parents. Our primary goal is to address the issues that negatively affect these youth through education, travel,
counseling, mentorship and by partnering with organizations with similar causes.
Our activities will encourage personal growth and broaden the experiences of these young youth, thereby increasing the likelihood of their individual success. Yvette is also the Director of Forensic Clinical Services at the Public Health
Management Corporation Community Engagement Forensic Services Program. Here, she leads a team of clinical assessors and housing coordinators.
Yvette coordinates and collaborate with
several criminal justice partners and community partners to engage the forensic participant. Yvette has been working over the last 20 years with returning citizens. She has worked tirelessly as an administrator overseeing a clinical assessment unit of the public health management corporation. She works with judges’ attorneys and various criminal justice partners to make a cohesive seamless approach to help individuals get the proper treatment within their own communities.

The world has grown to love Manny through him being a 4X Community Leader award winner from his leadership through non profit organization What I Wish I Knew Foundation who focuses on combatting economic disparity and teaching life skills through various programming and events. With a subdivision of helping formally incarcerated individuals rehab back into society.

Alia Logan is an experienced entrepreneur, childcare professional, and nonprofit leader dedicated to empowering children, families, and communities through high-quality early childhood education and support. With over 16 years of experience in childcare management and nonprofit leadership, I co-founded Smart Beginnings Early Learning Center (SBELC) and The Learning Institute of Philadelphia, where we are committed to eradicating poverty through education and exposure.
In addition to her work in early education, she proudly serves on the board of The Philly Birth Fund (PBF), an organization committed to ensuring equitable access to homebirth services for women of color. Through my involvement, I support PBF's mission to address racial disparities in maternal health outcomes and promote holistic, community-based care.
In December 2024, she earned my Bachelor’s degree in Childcare Management, building on my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. Alia is now pursuing an MBA, focusing on expanding my expertise in business strategy, leadership, and sustainable growth to further impact the early education sector.

Ms. Logan currently holds PA Quality Assurance System and Director Credentials. She has over 10 years of experience working in early childhood education and over 20 years of experience as a social worker.
